RFQ Update - Submittal Date Extended to 10/7/2021

September 14, 2021 - The City of Sammamish is extending the submittal due date to October 7, 2021 and will be issuing an amended RFQ that will be uploaded shortly. The City is updating the RFQ to include language to meet State and Federal requirements since there may be opportunities for funding partnerships on the design phase of this project. This RFQ will be readvertised in the Seattle Times and Daily Journal of Commerce on September 16th and September 23rd. An updated schedule is posted below. Thank you for your understanding.

Note: The City will not unseal an proposals received for the original submittal date of September 16th.

September 15, 2021 - The City of Sammamish has posted the Amended Request for Qualifications with the due date of October 7, 2021. The list of changes to the RFQ include: 

  • Updated due date and project schedule
  • Removed the City’s Agreement of Services contract and replaced with WSDOT’s Local Agency A&E Professional Services Negotiated Hourly Rate Consultant Agreement
  • Added paragraph in the ‘Project Description’ section about possible other funding sources for this contract and Federal EEO requirements notification.
  • Added in SAM Excluded Parties Records section.
  • Other various minor changes.

Project Summary

The City of Sammamish is soliciting interest and qualifications from firms with expertise in Civil and Environmental Engineering, Land Surveying, Planning, Design and Construction to perform preliminary engineering and prepare final project plans, specifications, and cost estimates for our Louis Thompson Tightline project.

The work to be performed by the consultant consists of preliminary engineering and project planning, environmental review and permitting, right-of-way acquisition, and preparing final plans, specifications, reports, and cost estimates for the installation of a stormwater tightline and non-motorized improvements on approximately 0.61 miles of Louis Thompson Hill Road.
