NOTICE - Limitations on availability of scheduled building and electrical inspections:
For multiple legitimate reasons we are continuing to experience limitations in our capacity to perform building and electrical inspections. We do anticipate this condition to continue for a period of time. In order to ensure we are scheduling inspections and setting inspector workload that is achievable and sustainable, we will be adjusting the number of inspections that can be scheduled in the system to match our capacity. Please be sure to include adequate time to schedule and receive inspections for your project. We are working with the resources we have to maximize inspection capacity, however it is possible that a late received inspection request may not be completed in the timeframe requested.
In-person services are offered by appointment and during specific walk-in hours. Please read below for more information.

about In-Person Permit Center Services
Visitors to City facilities are encouraged to wear masks, but it is not a requirement. Masks are available for free at City Hall for any visitor who wants one. In addition, hand sanitizing stations and increased cleaning procedures are in place.
Permit Center is available to the public to answer general questions about the permit process.
Permits will not be issued as a result of a Permit Center visit or meeting. Customers that are ready to submit an application can do so at MyBuildingPermit.com.
PLEASE EMAIL PERMITTECH@SAMMAMISH.US TO REQUEST AN APPOINTMENT FOR MONDAYS AND WEDNESDAYS.
PERMITS ARE REQUIRED
Any construction-related project on property located in the City of Sammamish requires a permit, or set of permits, issued by the city’s building division, per SMC 16.20.195 - Permits Required.
Some work is specifically exempt from a building permit per SMC16.20.200. Other permits may still be required; for example, see SMC 16.15.050 for projects that require tree removal or a clearing & grading permit.
Please contact the Permit Center at PermitTech@Sammamish.us if you have questions about your submittal.
