PROJECT BACKGROUND

The City of Sammamish Parks, Recreation, & Facilities Department oversees the volunteer led Arts Commission. The City is 25-years old, and the Sammamish Arts Commission (SAC) formally became an advisory board in 2003; the Commission and City are very young compared to surrounding cities in the area. The Arts Commission aspires to develop goals and objectives, policies and procedures, financial strategies, public art plan and programs as a City through an Arts Strategic Plan.

Anticipated Timeline (subject to change):

  • RFP release: January 2024
  • RFP questions due: February 9, 2024
  • RFP answers posted: February 16, 2024
  • Proposal packages due: February 21, 2024, at 5:00pm
  • Notify short listed firms: March 15, 2024
  • Interview short listed firms*: March 20-22, 2024
  • Contract award by City Council: May 2024
  • Anticipated project start: Early Summer 2024
  • Anticipated Council adoption: Spring 2025
